  • 2022 Domaine De L'Enclose Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot

Domaine De L'Enclose 2022 Domaine De L'Enclose Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot

    Out of stock

Winemaker Notes Domaine de l'Enclos Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot 2022 is a white wine that captivates with its balance and sophistication. Upon the first inhalation, scents of crisp apple and white blossoms greet the senses, followed by a citrusy hint reminiscent of lemon zest. Its mineral character is interwoven with a subtle iodine fragrance, adding layers of complexity. On the palate, it is luxuriously succulent, unfurling flavors of exotic fruits that outline its distinguished profile. This wine is a refined and precise expression of its terroir. About Winery East of Chablis, spanning 12.7 hectares, lies one of the most challenging French terroirs to cultivate: the Blanchot climat. Its east-southeast exposure (where the sun only reaches in the morning), steep slope, and sheltered location do not prevent it from paradoxically presenting as a warm terroir where, curiously, the grapes are late to ripen. Mastering these vineyards is no easy feat. However, the Bouchard brothers, Romain and Damien, have it in their blood. After a lifetime in this area, nothing eludes them. That is why they are capable of coaxing from this land the esteemed Domaine de l'Enclos Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot.   You can buy burgundy wine with 1976 winehours.com

    8 in stock

Winemaker Notes The 2022 Fournier Père & Fils Sancerre “Clos du Roc” Blanc A.O.P. is a single-vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from one of the most historic and striking terroirs in Sancerre. The vineyard, once part of the ancient Saint-Satur Abbey (dating back to the 15th century), lies on a steep, south-facing slope with flinty soils that impart distinctive minerality and precision. Protected from cold winds by the Bois de Charne forest, the vines receive maximum sunlight, producing grapes of exceptional ripeness and aromatic intensity. The wine itself shows vibrant aromas of pear, apple, and apricot, layered with flinty, smoky notes. On the palate, it is dry, crisp, and powerful yet elegant, balancing ripe orchard fruit with lively acidity and a long, mineral-driven finish. This cuvée exemplifies Fournier’s philosophy of highlighting exceptional single plots, offering both immediate pleasure and strong aging potential. About Winery  Domaine Fournier Père et Fils has been a cornerstone of the Sancerre appellation since its founding in 1926 in Verdigny, at the heart of the Loire Valley. The estate’s history is closely tied to the development of Sancerre itself, having witnessed the appellation’s earliest days and contributed to its rise as a benchmark for Sauvignon Blanc. Over generations, the Fournier family expanded their holdings to include 39 hectares divided into 165 plots, spread across the three major terroirs of Sancerre—limestone, clay-limestone, and terres blanches—as well as vineyards in Menetou-Salon. This mosaic of soils allows them to craft wines of great complexity and authenticity, each reflecting its origin. Deeply committed to terroir expression, the family has cultivated with respect for the land, emphasizing tradition, precision, and the French art de vivre. Today, Fournier Père et Fils is recognized internationally for producing elegant, food-friendly wines that embody both heritage and innovation.

Hanzell Vineyard 2022 Hanzell Heritage Chardonnay

    12 in stock

Winemaker Notes The nose is accented by Meyer lemon, yellow apple, and pear notes. Undertones of mint and greengage offer a layer of complexity while a hint of Meyer lemon pith contributes spiciness. The palate is round and unctuous owing to the well-developed tannin structure and moderate acid profile. Flavours of Meyer lemon and lemon curd envelope the palate. The older vines are blended with newer plantings of Calera and Wente clones, which brings terrific balance and is wonderfully nuanced and elegant. About Winery Like most good stories, the history of Williams Selyem owes much to serendipity. If a grower with an abundance of fruit hadn’t given Burt Williams a few tonnes of free grapes in the 1970s, Burt might never have discovered his love and flair for winemaking. And if Burt and his partner Ed Selyem had been able to afford the French Burgundies they both favoured, they might never have tried making their own pinot noir. The two friends didn’t set out to produce wines for anyone but themselves. And they surely never imagined that their humble experiment in home winemaking would spawn a cult-status winery of international acclaim. Together, Burt and Ed set a new standard for American-made pinot noir, and elevated Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley to among the best wine growing regions in the world. Now considered Russian River Valley royalty, Williams Selyem are responsible for some of the most sought-after handcrafted expressions of pinot noir across both the New World and Old.

About Winery In 1971, four visionary families came together with a dream: to create and plant what would become one of Oregon's most iconic vineyards—Hyland Vineyard. Perched above the Van Duzer Corridor, this historic site is a cornerstone of the Willamette Valley's wine legacy. The vineyard's roots run deep, with its first 45 acres planted between 1971 and 1979. These included Alsatian varieties, including the legendary Coury Clone Pinot Noir, cultivated on original rootstock—a rarity that adds to its distinction. Since 2007, NW Wine Co. has stewarded this remarkable vineyard, expanding it to 185 sustainably farmed acres. Hyland flourishes in red volcanic Jory soil, producing exceptional Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Gewürztraminer that embody the region's unique terroir. In 2021, Hyland Vineyard celebrated 50 years of shaping Oregon’s wine legacy. Today, it invites you to experience its history, exceptional wines, and enduring spirit as a landmark of Willamette Valley’s rich winemaking tradition.
