2022 Domaine De L'Enclose Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot

Description

Winemaker Notes

Domaine de l'Enclos Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot 2022 is a white wine that captivates with its balance and sophistication. Upon the first inhalation, scents of crisp apple and white blossoms greet the senses, followed by a citrusy hint reminiscent of lemon zest. Its mineral character is interwoven with a subtle iodine fragrance, adding layers of complexity. On the palate, it is luxuriously succulent, unfurling flavors of exotic fruits that outline its distinguished profile. This wine is a refined and precise expression of its terroir.

About Winery

East of Chablis, spanning 12.7 hectares, lies one of the most challenging French terroirs to cultivate: the Blanchot climat. Its east-southeast exposure (where the sun only reaches in the morning), steep slope, and sheltered location do not prevent it from paradoxically presenting as a warm terroir where, curiously, the grapes are late to ripen. Mastering these vineyards is no easy feat. However, the Bouchard brothersRomain and Damien, have it in their blood. After a lifetime in this area, nothing eludes them. That is why they are capable of coaxing from this land the esteemed Domaine de l'Enclos Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot.
