Winemaker Notes

The 2022 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses is a quintessential expression of what many consider the most ethereal and elegant of Chablis’ Grand Crus, characterized by a refined balance of "richness, grace, and drive". According to the producer, the wine opens with an expressive bouquet of white flowers, orange peel, and citrus blossom, underpinned by a distinct "salty breeze" and oyster water minerality.

About Winery

Founded in 1957 by William Fèvre, a prominent figure in the region, the domaine began with 7 hectares and grew into one of Chablis's largest and most prestigious, now boasting ~78 hectares. Known for advocating for authentic, traditional Chablis, the estate was sold to Champagne Henriot in 1998, with the aim of reducing new oak to emphasize mineral, terroir-driven styles. The estate is highly regarded for its Premier Cru Beauroy, which features old vines, and has been under the leadership of Didier Séguier since 1998.
