About Winery
Domaine J.A. Ferret was established in 1840 in Fuissé by Jean-Alfred Ferret and his son Antoine, though the family had been making wine locally since the 1760s. The estate became especially influential under Jeanne Ferret, who in the 1930s–1990s introduced estate bottling (from 1942) and created her own classification of parcels, including Tête de Cru and Hors Classe, which remain benchmarks today. After Jeanne’s passing in 1993, her daughter Colette continued the legacy until 2006. In 2008, Maison Louis Jadot acquired the domaine, ensuring continuity while appointing winemaker Audrey Braccini to carry forward its tradition of parcel-by-parcel vinification. Today, Domaine Ferret cultivates 18 hectares entirely within Pouilly-Fuissé, producing wines that are considered among the finest expressions of southern Burgundy Chardonnay, celebrated for their longevity and terroir-driven precision.
