About Winery
Domaine Dujac, based in Morey-Saint-Denis in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, was founded in 1967 by Jacques Seysses, a passionate young winemaker who had trained in Champagne and apprenticed in Burgundy before acquiring his first 4.5 hectares of vineyards. The domaine quickly gained recognition for its elegant, terroir-driven Pinot Noir, and over the years expanded holdings to include prestigious parcels in Échezeaux, Bonnes Mares, Chambertin, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, and Vosne-Romanée Malconsorts. By the late 1990s, Jacques was joined by his sons Jeremy and Alec, and Jeremy’s wife Diana, who now lead the estate, continuing the family tradition while introducing sustainable practices and broadening production to include Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune. Today, Domaine Dujac is celebrated worldwide as one of Burgundy’s most dynamic family domaines, blending respect for tradition with innovation.

Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, based in Vosne-Romanée in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, traces its origins to 1815 when General Louis Liger-Belair, a decorated officer under Napoleon, acquired the Château de Vosne and extensive vineyard holdings, including the famed La Romanée. Over the 19th century, the domaine grew to encompass some of Burgundy’s most prestigious crus, but inheritance divisions and sales gradually reduced its size. For much of the 20th century, the family’s vineyards were cultivated but vinified and bottled by others, leaving the Liger-Belair name absent from wine labels. In 2000, Louis-Michel Liger-Belair, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, reestablished the domaine under its own label, reviving the family’s winemaking tradition. Today, Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair is celebrated for its biodynamic practices and exceptional wines from Vosne-Romanée’s most illustrious terroirs, including La Romanée, Reignots, and Clos du Château.

Domaine du Clos de Tart, located in Morey-Saint-Denis in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, is one of the region’s most historic and prestigious estates, founded in 1141 by Cistercian nuns of Tart Abbey. Remarkably, Clos de Tart has remained intact as a single Grand Cru monopole for nearly nine centuries, never fragmented or divided, making it the largest Grand Cru monopole in Burgundy today. After centuries under ecclesiastical ownership, the estate passed into private hands following the French Revolution and was acquired by the Mommessin family in 1932, who managed it for over 80 years. In 2017, the domaine entered a new era when it was purchased by Groupe Artemis, the holding company of François Pinault, marking a significant transition that combined centuries of tradition with modern investment and innovation.

Domaine des Varoilles, based in Gevrey-Chambertin in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, takes its name from the Clos des Varoilles, a Premier Cru monopole first planted in the 12th century. Over time, the estate expanded its holdings to about 10 hectares across eight appellations, including other notable monopoles such as La Romanée. A major turning point came in 1990 with the arrival of Gilbert Hammel, of Swiss descent, who revitalized the domaine and established its reputation for producing supple, approachable yet structured Gevrey-Chambertin wines. Today, Domaine des Varoilles is recognized for its unique monopole vineyards and its ability to craft wines that balance tradition with accessibility, making it a distinctive presence in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits.

Domaine des Lambrays, located in Morey-Saint-Denis in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, is centered around the historic Clos des Lambrays, a Grand Cru vineyard first enclosed by Cistercian monks in 1365. Over the centuries, ownership of the clos fragmented, especially after the French Revolution, until the Rodier family reassembled it in the late 19th century, restoring its unity and reputation. In 2014, the estate entered a new era when it was acquired by LVMH, which invested heavily in expanding and modernizing the domaine. Since 2019, winemaker Jacques Devauges has overseen production, guiding the estate toward a renaissance that blends tradition with innovation, and today Domaine des Lambrays is celebrated for its expressive wines that capture the essence of one of Burgundy’s most storied terroirs.

Domaine des Chézeaux, based in Gevrey-Chambertin in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, was created in 1982 from the vineyard holdings of the Mercier family, who became the largest owners of Griotte-Chambertin and also held prized parcels in Clos Saint-Denis, Chambertin, and Gevrey 1er Crus. For decades, the estate’s wines were produced under long-term métayage agreements by renowned domaines such as Laurent Ponsot, René Leclerc, and Domaine Berthaut, meaning the name Chézeaux was little known despite its exceptional terroirs. In 2021, Charles van Canneyt and his wife Anne-Sophie acquired the domaine, gradually regaining control of its vineyards through complex negotiations under Burgundy law. This marked a new chapter, unifying the estate under their vision and allowing Domaine des Chézeaux to fully express its potential as a discreet but highly endowed Burgundy property.
