About Winery
Pierre-Yves Colin began his career working at his family’s estate, Domaine Marc Colin, before deciding to branch out independently. In 2001, he and his wife Caroline Morey launched a small négociant business, sourcing grapes and producing wines under their own label. By 2005, they formally established Domaine Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, combining family vineyard holdings with newly acquired parcels. Today, the domaine cultivates around 13–15 hectares of vines across prestigious appellations including Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Santenay, and Meursault, with production dominated by Chardonnay (over 90%) alongside small amounts of Pinot Noir and Aligoté. Domaine Bouard-Bonnefoy is a small, family-run estate in Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy, managed today by Fabrice Bouard and his wife Carine Bonnefoy, who took over from Carine’s father in 2006. Domaine des Malandes is a family-run estate in Chablis, founded in 1972 by Lyne Marchive, daughter of André Tremblay, who had assembled much of the vineyard land in the 1940s and 1950s. The name “Malandes,” meaning “bad land,” refers to stony ground once considered unsuitable for farming but ideal for vines. Purchased in 2001 by Gérard Perse - Château Pavie, Pavie-Decesse, Monbousquet, Bellevue-Mondotte - Clos Lunelles shines with its vision of excellence, anchored to a first-class terroir composed of clay and limestone, in the natural extension of the Saint-Emilion limestone plateau. With state-of-the-art viticulture and ambitious technical means, the wines are a perfect example of concentrated yet elegant Bordeaux.
The Clos Lunelles vineyard covers 8.5 hectares of vines, composed of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. As at Gérard Perse’s other properties, everything has been done in the vineyard to obtain low yields and perfect maturity. Traditional and precise vinification and long maturation followed by 18 months in French oak barrels (50% new) without fining or filtering give a complex bouquet of black fruits and a rich, deep and substantial structure.
Tended by Robert Parker himself, Clos Lunelles expresses without reserve the style of a straightforward wine, built for immediate pleasure.
