Winemaker Notes
The 2014 Domaine Hubert Lignier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Baudes is a "lovely" and "broad-shouldered" wine that reflects its location adjacent to the Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru with a more muscular and black-fruited personality. According to winemaker Laurent Lignier’s philosophy of low intervention, the wine was bottled without filtration after 18 months in oak.
About Winery
Founded around 1880 by Jacques Lignier in Morey-Saint-Denis, Domaine Hubert Lignier is a prestigious five-generation Burgundy estate. Hubert Lignier expanded the estate in the 1960s, gaining fame for structured Pinot Noir. After the tragic 2004 passing of winemaker son Romain, Laurent Lignier took over, transitioning the 9-hectare estate to organic/biodynamic practices.
