About Winery
Château de Meursault, located in the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, is one of the region’s most historic wine estates, with origins dating back to the 11th century under Duke Robert I of Burgundy. Over the centuries, the château and its vineyards grew in prestige, eventually encompassing about 65 hectares across renowned appellations such as Meursault, Pommard, Volnay, Aloxe-Corton, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Puligny-Montrachet. Known for its striking architecture and extensive cellars, the estate has long been a symbol of Burgundian heritage. In 2012, the Halley family acquired the domaine, also owners of Château de Marsannay, and revitalized its operations with a strong focus on sustainability. By the 2022 vintage, the entire vineyard was converted to organic farming, reflecting a commitment to biodiversity and environmental stewardship. Today, Château de Meursault is celebrated for producing some of Burgundy’s finest white wines, while also contributing to the preservation of the region’s cultural and viticultural legacy.
