About Winery
Joseph Colin grew up working at his father Marc Colin’s domaine, which had extensive holdings in Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, and Santenay. After years of experience alongside his siblings, Joseph decided to create his own estate in 2017, starting with 7 hectares of vineyards and producing 19 different cuvées. His first independent bottling was a small release in 2016, but the following year marked the true launch of Domaine Joseph Colin. With a focus on low yields, meticulous vineyard work, and parcel-by-parcel vinification, Joseph quickly gained acclaim for wines that combine precision, minerality, and expressive terroir. Today, his domaine is considered one of the most exciting new-generation producers in Burgundy, particularly for Saint-Aubin and Chassagne-Montrachet whites, which showcase purity and finesse.
Winemaker Notes
Each block was picked by hand at night, and firm, cool clusters were delivered to the winery before sunrise. We hand-sorted the clusters then transferred them into a bladder press. After gentle pressing, the juice settled for 24 hours before we carefully racked it to French oak barrels, 64% new. Native yeast slowly guided alcoholic fermentation, with measured batonnage until malolactic fermentation was complete. The wine aged sur lie for 15 months and was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
About Winery
Wayfarer is the manifestation of a remarkable place, masterful winemaking, and the drive to go to extremes to create something truly exceptional.
After nearly 30 years as an acclaimed Napa Valley vintner, Jayson Pahlmeyer became increasingly entranced by the wines of Burgundy. “Every oenophile eventually gravitates to the wines of Burgundy,” he says. In the early 1990s, Jayson began seeking out the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards in the world.
A close friend, legendary French wine importer Martine Saunier, had located two parcels for sale in Burgundy – Clos de la Roche, a Grand Cru Pinot Noir vineyard in Côte de Nuits Grand Cru, and Corton Vergennes, a Grand Cru Chardonnay vineyard in Corton. His winemaker, Helen Turley, was to make the wine with the hands-on assistance of the renowned Michel Niellon at his Chassagne-Montrachet winery. However, just after the papers were signed, the deal was nullified by an obscure Burgundian real estate clause that permitted last-minute alternative offers.
Though these iconic vineyards faded from his dreams, Jayson knew that, eventually, the perfect site would present itself. He just didn’t realize it would be six years later in the remote hills of the Sonoma Coast at a small farm called Wayfarer.

Winemaker Notes
A sustainable luxury innovation from the first house of Champagne, made entirely from recyclable paper, preserves the quality of the wine, while reducing the carbon footprint by 60% vs the traditional gift box. A supple, harmonious attack on the palate, firm but rounded. A voluptuous texture and vinosity that is not excessive, supported by excellent freshness. A very refreshing mineral finish. At first very intense on the nose, giving way to fresh fruit notes, particularly ripe citrus and exotic fruits (pineapple). A highly refined floral second nose with notes of linden and white fruits (white peach). Beautiful pale yellow colour with glints of gold and green, a vibrant, luminous color. Active effervescence with a fine, persistent release of bubbles.

About Winery
Joseph Phelps Vineyards is a family-owned and operated wine estate with vineyards and wineries in Napa Valley and on the western Sonoma Coast. The winery was founded in 1973 by Joseph Phelps, a successful construction executive and entrepreneur whose early interest in wine led him to establish vineyards on a 670-acre former cattle ranch in Napa Valley. Over the next 42 years Joe became one of the most respected figures in the California wine industry, building Joseph Phelps Vineyards into a critically-acclaimed winery internationally known for its iconic wines and unwavering commitment to quality.
Joe’s son, Bill Phelps, joined the family business in 1998 after a successful career in law, and as Executive Chairman now oversees Joseph Phelps Vineyards with a continued dedication to excellence.
Family owns and farms 425 acres of vines in Napa Valley on nine estate vineyards in St. Helena, Rutherford, Oakville, Stags Leap District, Oak Knoll District, South Napa and Carneros, as well as 100 acres over two vineyards on the western Sonoma Coast. Strategically chosen over many decades, each vineyard has its own personality and brings a different characteristic to our wines. Our commitment to an estate-based model is our way of ensuring consistency and the highest quality we can possibly achieve. Our estate vineyards, paired with select long-term grower relationships, give our winemaking teams unparalleled depth and diversity when it comes to producing Joseph Phelps wines.
Winemaker Notes
A relatively cool winter preceded a month of February in which temperatures exceeded seasonal norms. Rapid flowering took place in May, helped by summer weather conditions. There was some rain in June, including two stormy spells. July and August were marked by scorching weather. Water stress was avoided thanks to the clay soil and the adaptation of the winegrowers.

About Winery
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC), founded in 1869 in Vosne-Romanée, Burgundy, is widely regarded as the most prestigious wine estate in the world, producing some of the rarest and most expensive wines from its legendary Grand Cru vineyards.
The estate’s history stretches back to 1232, when the Abbey of Saint Vivant acquired vineyard land in Vosne, later expanded by the de Croonembourg family in the 17th century, who renamed it “Romanée” and also purchased La Tâche. In 1760, the vineyard was acquired by Prince de Conti, giving it the name Romanée-Conti. After passing through various owners, the domaine was consolidated in 1869 by Jacques-Marie Duvault-Blochet, forming the modern estate. Today, DRC owns exclusive rights to Romanée-Conti and La Tâche, along with holdings in other Grand Crus such as Richebourg, Grands Échezeaux, Échezeaux, and Montrachet, producing both red Pinot Noir and white Chardonnay wines. Co-directed for decades by Aubert de Villaine and Henri-Frédéric Roch, the domaine has become synonymous with meticulous vineyard care, low yields, and uncompromising quality. Its wines are celebrated for their rarity, complexity, and longevity, making DRC the pinnacle of Burgundy and one of the most revered names in global fine wine.

About Winery
Domaine Bachelet-Monnot was established in 2005 by brothers Marc and Alexandre Bachelet, who combined vineyard holdings from their father Jean-François and their uncle in Dezize-lès-Maranges, near Santenay. Their grandfather had earlier founded Domaine Bernard Bachelet et Fils in Chassagne-Montrachet, and Jean-François was instrumental in securing AOC status for Maranges. Starting with about 10 hectares, the brothers have since expanded to over 22 hectares, farming both family-owned and leased vineyards across appellations such as Maranges, Santenay, Puligny-Montrachet, and Chassagne-Montrachet. Known for meticulous vineyard work and precise winemaking, Domaine Bachelet-Monnot quickly gained recognition for producing refined, terroir-driven wines that highlight Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune.
