    Out of stock

PRE-ORDER About Winery Domaine Gachot-Monot traces its origins to the late 19th century, when the family first established vineyards in Corgoloin, at the crossroads of Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Over the decades, the estate was shaped by strong figures such as Marguerite Monot, who managed the domaine single-handedly from 1950 to 1980, and her daughter Marie-Thérèse, who, with her husband Jean-Pierre Gachot, undertook extensive replanting and modernization. Their efforts laid the foundation for the estate’s current identity. In 1993, Damien Gachot joined after completing formal wine studies and gaining international experience, later expanding the domaine to about 12 hectares. Today, alongside his Danish wife Liselotte, Damien continues the family tradition of meticulous, terroir-focused viticulture, crafting expressive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines that highlight the character of Côte de Nuits-Villages and neighboring appellations.

The domaine’s fruit sources come from the Gros family’s holdings in Vosne-Romanée—known for elegance and nobility—and François’s parcels in Pommard, which yield wines with earthiness and dark fruit depth. Today, their children Caroline and Mathias Parent are actively involved in running the estate, ensuring continuity of tradition while adding modern energy. Known for his philosophy of making wine from experience rather than technical manipulation, René built a reputation for consistently producing expressive, fruit-forward Pinot Noir from Gevrey-Chambertin. Today, his son François, trained both in France and the United States, works closely with him to carry forward this artisanal approach. Together, they craft wines under both the René Leclerc and François Leclerc labels, using traditional methods such as gentle pressing to emphasize purity of fruit and terroir. With François gradually assuming leadership, the domaine remains firmly rooted in Gevrey-Chambertin’s heritage while embracing continuity across generations.
