Hundred Acre Hundred Acre Dark Ark
2018 | Wine Independent 100 The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Dark Ark is a 100-case selection derived from Ark Vineyard barrels that were notably darker and denser than the rest. Loaded with black cherries, cassis and loam notes, it's full-bodied, a bit brooding but concentrated, rich and supple, with a long, velvety finish. A true powerhouse, it's clearly one of Hundred Acre's top 2018s. 2022 | D 100 A barrel selection drawn from nine distinct blocks within the Hundred Acre Ark Vineyard, Dark Ark represents the densest and most powerful expression of this site. The wine is immensely satisfying, filled with pure cassis, red and black currant fruit, spiced plums, and seductive toasty brown oak spices, all framed by extraordinary textures that are all satiny, silky, velvety, you name it. About Winery Hundred Acre is not simply a winery—it is a legend carved into Napa’s hillsides. Founded by Jayson Woodbridge in 2000, its philosophy is one of uncompromising precision: fruit chosen berry by berry, wines born in underground caves called The Ring, and bottles crowned with a 24-carat gold ring as a symbol of perfection. From Morgan’s Way to Ark and Few and Far Between, each vineyard is treated as sacred ground, yielding Cabernets that have earned more than seventy-eight perfect scores. Inspired by the whimsical Hundred Acre Wood yet executed with obsessive craftsmanship, the estate has become a beacon of rarity and myth, where every release is both a treasure and a testament to the pursuit of the extraordinary.

Liger Belair, Domaine du Comte 2015 Domaine du Comte Liger Belair Nuits St. Georges Les Cras
PRE-ORDER About Winery Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, based in Vosne-Romanée in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, traces its origins to 1815 when General Louis Liger-Belair, a decorated officer under Napoleon, acquired the Château de Vosne and extensive vineyard holdings, including the famed La Romanée. Over the 19th century, the domaine grew to encompass some of Burgundy’s most prestigious crus, but inheritance divisions and sales gradually reduced its size. For much of the 20th century, the family’s vineyards were cultivated but vinified and bottled by others, leaving the Liger-Belair name absent from wine labels. In 2000, Louis-Michel Liger-Belair, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, reestablished the domaine under its own label, reviving the family’s winemaking tradition. Today, Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair is celebrated for its biodynamic practices and exceptional wines from Vosne-Romanée’s most illustrious terroirs, including La Romanée, Reignots, and Clos du Château.

Domaine Hoffmann Jayer 2018 Domaine Hoffmann Jayer Nuits St. Georges Les Damodes
PRE-ORDER About Winery Domaine Hoffmann-Jayer, based in Magny-lès-Villers between Beaune and Nuits-Saint-Georges, has its roots in the Jayer-Gilles estate founded in 1982 by Gilles Jayer, a descendant of the Jayer family of Vosne-Romanée. The domaine itself originated earlier as a mixed farm established by Robert Jayer and his wife Paulette in the 1950s, which shifted focus to viticulture in 1970. Gilles Jayer took over in 1998, expanding and refining the estate’s reputation. In 2017, Swiss entrepreneur André Hoffmann partnered with Gilles, creating Domaine Hoffmann-Jayer. Sadly, Gilles passed away in 2018, but the domaine continues under Hoffmann’s stewardship, blending Burgundian tradition with modern innovation, and producing wines from prestigious appellations such as Hautes-Côtes de Nuits and Echézeaux.
