About Winery
Caroline Morey established her own domaine in Chassagne-Montrachet in 2014, continuing her family’s long Burgundian winemaking tradition. Daughter of Jean-Marc Morey, she inherited 2.5 hectares of vineyards from him, later expanding with additional parcels in Santenay and Beaune to reach about 7 hectares. Married to Pierre-Yves Colin of Domaine Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, she shares vineyard resources with him but vinifies her wines independently, focusing on both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Her approach emphasizes minimal intervention, careful lees management, and aging in 350-liter barrels with limited new oak, producing refined, terroir-driven wines from premier sites such as Les Caillerets, Les Champs Gains, and Les Chaumées. Today, Domaine Caroline Morey is recognized for its elegant, precise expressions of Côte de Beaune terroirs.
