Winemaker Notes
Dark ruby color with aromas of red plum, black currants, cedar, fig and sweet toasted oak. Medium bodied with focused and integrated tannins. Fresh natural acidity leads to a long and age-worthy finish.
About Winery
Ridge Vineyards has roots in 1885 when Dr. Osea Perrone established the Monte Bello Winery on Monte Bello Ridge, producing its first wine in 1892. The modern Ridge Vineyards was founded in 1959 by Stanford scientists who purchased the property, with winemaker Paul Draper joining soon after to pioneer single-vineyard winemaking. Ridge became an icon for its focus on terroir-driven, high-quality, and authentic wines from exceptional vineyards.
