The 2019 Domaine Buisson-Charles Meursault 1er Cru "La Goutte d'Or" is described by winemaker Patrick Essa as a powerful, "burly" wine characterized by its muscularity, tension, and extraordinary concentration. He famously contrasts its character with other crus by stating, "If Bouches-Chères is a gymnast, Goutte d'Or is a rugby player."
