The 2020 Chateau La Mission Lalande de Pomerol is a Merlot-dominant blend (with Cabernet Franc) characterized by a deep ruby color and an intense, savory profile. Winemaker notes highlight a fragrant nose of ripe red and black fruits (strawberries, raspberries) with hints of cedar, violet, and spice. It has a velvety, full-bodied palate with smooth tannins.

About Winery

Château La Mission, a Lalande-de-Pomerol winery, boasts a rich history tied to the Garde-Lasserre family, who also own Clos René and Moulinet-Lasserre. The winery's name originates from the time of the crusades, when knights would stop to pray at a cross on the property. Today, the estate is known for its jewel-sized vineyard and the meticulous care given to its 40-year-old vines, producing silky, full-bodied, and approachable wines.
