About Winery
Domaine Arnaud Mortet, based in Gevrey-Chambertin, is the continuation of the celebrated Domaine Denis Mortet, founded in 1991 by Denis after inheriting vineyards from his father Charles. Denis quickly gained international acclaim for his concentrated, meticulous Pinot Noir wines, influenced by the legendary Henri Jayer. Following Denis’s passing in 2006, his son Arnaud took over, supported by his mother Laurence and sister Clémence, and gradually refined the estate’s style toward greater finesse, purity, and terroir transparency. Today, the domaine covers about 11 hectares across Gevrey-Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, and other prestigious climats, and Arnaud Mortet is regarded as one of Burgundy’s leading winemakers, blending family tradition with modern precision to craft wines of elegance and longevity.
