About Winery
Domaine Chandon de Briailles, established in 1834, is a historic Burgundy estate located in Savigny-lès-Beaune, with vineyards also in Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton. Owned by the same family since its founding, the domaine is today run by siblings Claude and François de Nicolay, who took over in the late 20th century. Originally managed by their mother, the estate shifted from organic to biodynamic viticulture in 2005, achieving certification in 2012. With 13.7 hectares of vines, including prestigious Grand Cru holdings in Corton and Corton-Charlemagne, Chandon de Briailles is known for producing elegant, age-worthy wines through minimalist winemaking, whole-cluster fermentations, and a focus on terroir expression.
