About us
Dr. Konstantin Frank ignited the “Vinifera Revolution”, a movement that forever changed the course of wine growing in the Finger Lakes and the United States. Dr. Frank’s vision, knowledge and determination are credited with elevating the New York wine industry from a state of happy mediocrity to a level that today commands world attention. Located on Keuka lake in the Finger Lakes region, Dr. Konstantin Frank Wines features some of the oldest vinifera vines in the United States and continues to produce wines of distinction and quality. Vinification Only the free run juice from the gently pressed grapes was used. The base wine was fermented at low temperatures to preserve the more delicate characters. Second fermentation took place in the bottle as per the Méthode Champenoise. After leaving the wine resting for more than four years it was disgorged, and dosage was added prior to final bottling
Winemaker Notes
Frenchtown shows aromas of wild berries, red cherry, black currant, and anise. The generous, fresh fruit flavors remain focused through an integrated finish.

Winemaker Notes

About Winery
Bodega Catena Zapata is one of Argentina's high-altitude Malbec pioneers. The Catena family began making wine in Mendoza in 1902. Nicolas Catena, third generation family vintner, was one of the first to see the potential of Mendoza's mountain vineyards for producing high quality Malbec. In 1994, he became the first Argentine to export a world-class bottling of Malbec under the Catena label. Nicolas is joined by his daughter, Dr. Laura Catena, in their relentless pursuit of world-class quality from the family's high-altitude vineyards. Laura has done extensive work in introducing Malbec and other varietal plant selections, soil and climate analysis, and sustainable practices throughout Mendoza. Head winemaker, Alejandro Vigil, has been at Catena Zapata since 2002 and works with Laura and Nicolas to make wines that express the family's vineyards and palate.
Winemaker Notes
A push of fresh acidity midpalate adds details of loam, marinated olive and orange peel that linger effortlessly around the core fruit flavors and integrated, lithe tannins. Shows lots of promise, which should reward cellaring. Drink now through 2036.

Winemaker Notes
Catena Zapata Nicasia Vineyard Malbec is a dark violet Malbec. Ripe black-and-red currant, raspberries and an elegant touch of french oak are some of the aromas that we can appreciate from this special Malbec from one of the Catena´s highest family vineyards. Very complex and expressive palate, with a creamy violet flavor with ripe blueberries, cassis, vanilla and spice cake.

Winemaker Notes
The 2018 Château Grand Corbin features complex aromas of dark berries, cassis, and earthy notes, with hints of spice and violet. On the palate, it presents a well-balanced mix of fresh, fruity, and mineral flavors with firm tannins and high acidity, promising a wine of youthful intensity and a long, complex finish.
About Winery
Chateau Grand Corbin is a historic Saint-Émilion wine estate with roots dating to the Middle Ages, though its modern form was established in 1852. The estate, now owned by Groupe SMABTP, expanded in 2012 by incorporating the neighboring Haut Corbin vineyards. In contrast, the separately managed Château Grand Corbin-Despagne, a different property, has been under the Despagne family's ownership since 1812, with historical ties to the Grand Corbin seigneurie, and was promoted to Grand Cru Classé status in 2006.
Winemaker Notes
The 2018 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon is a stunning Napa Valley wine, awarded 100 points by critics, and praised for its purity, elegance, and depth. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it opens with vibrant aromas of ripe blackberries, black cherries, red and black currants, alongside hints of licorice, candied violets, cedar, clove oil, and a touch of sea spray. On the palate, it is medium-bodied yet powerful, with a finely textured structure, taut backbone, and exquisitely balanced acidity. The wine delivers intense layers of black and red fruits, mineral notes, and floral nuances, finishing with extraordinary length and complexity. This vintage is considered one of the most refined and age-worthy expressions of Screaming Eagle, combining concentration with remarkable finesse.
About Winery
Screaming Eagle is a cult winery in Napa Valley’s Oakville AVA, founded in 1986 by real estate agent Jean Phillips, who initially sold grapes before deciding to produce her own wine. Encouraged by Robert Mondavi, she hired winemaker Heidi Barrett, and in 1992 released the first vintage of Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon, which immediately gained critical acclaim and near-mythical status due to its tiny production (only about 600–700 cases per year) and exceptional quality
Winemaker Notes
Lush notes of black cherry, plum, cassis, and violets, layered with hints of graphite, cedar, and subtle spice from French oak aging. Medium to full-bodied with silky tannins vibrant acidity, and a polished texture. Flavors of ripe red and black fruits mingle with mocha, tobacco, and earthy undertones.
Blend: Approximately 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc

Winemaker Notes
The aromatics on this are stunning, offering black cherries, blackcurrants, lead pencil, spearmint, Spanish cedar. and wild roses. It’s medium-bodied and starts slowly on the palate and then takes off with muscular tension. Nicely chewy, toned and firm. Goes on for minutes. Flexing and showing its propensity for longevity. Rock on.

Winemaker Notes
This wine has a lot of class and elegance, along with firm tannins that show how well it will age. It is dark and concentrated, the black fruits still developing under the solid structure
About Winery
Château Haut-Bages Libéral, a Fifth Growth estate from the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, was founded in the 18th century by the Libéral family on the Bages plateau in Pauillac. Over time, its vineyards came to border prestigious neighbors like Château Latour and Château Pichon Baron, and much of its wine was historically exported to Belgium and the Netherlands. Today, under Claire Villars-Lurton’s management, the estate is known for its Cabernet Sauvignon–driven wines and commitment to organic and biodynamic practices.
Winemaker Notes
A great wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (just under 10,000 cases produced) possesses a fragrant bouquet of sweet black currants, crushed rocks, earth and background oak. Full-bodied and dense, with Montelena's typical power, tannin and reserved nature, this is a big, rich, formidably endowed red that requires 4-5 years of cellaring. That in itself is atypical of this exuberant, flamboyant vintage. Given this cuvee’s past history, this 2007 should age for 30+ years.
About Winery
Château Montelena, founded in 1882 by San Francisco entrepreneur Alfred L. Tubbs in Calistoga, Napa Valley, became world-famous after its Chardonnay won the 1976 “Judgment of Paris” tasting, where California wines triumphed over top French competitors. Originally built as a grand stone château with vineyards planted on rugged land, the estate went through periods of decline before being revitalized in the 1970s under Jim Barrett and winemaker Miljenko “Mike” Grgich. That historic victory put Napa Valley on the global wine map, and today Château Montelena continues to produce acclaimed Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon while preserving its legacy as a pioneer of California’s rise in fine wine.
Winemaker Notes
Bright ruby-red. Penetrating aromas of black cherry, dried flowers and brown spices. Not as silky as the 2004 through 2007 vintages but boasts noteworthy refinement and savory intensity, with fresh, harmonious acidity giving the wine good focus and finesse. Excellent depth here if not quite the flavor development of vintages like '07 and '04. Still, this conveys a thickness of texture and a faintly exotic quality and finishes with very suave tannins. The summer was rather cool but steady, and there was enough warmth in September to ensure ripe tannins without burning off needed acidity, noted Bo Barrett. A fairly elegantly styled Montelena Estate.

Winemaker Notes
This is very floral with blueberry, fresh-currant and currant-bush aromas. Crushed stones. Medium body and creamy, lightly chewy tannins with citrus and blueberries. Tangy and pretty. From biodynamically grown grapes.
