Joseph Drouhin 2021 Joseph Drouhin Meursault 1er Cru "Perriers" Blanc
Winemaker Notes The 2021 Joseph Drouhin Meursault 1er Cru "Perrières" Blanc is an extraordinarily luminous, mid-lemon yellow Chardonnay born from a notoriously challenging, low-yielding Burgundy vintage. On the nose, it initially presents a quiet, tight profile of citrus and stone that slowly blossoms with sweet oak spices, grilled almonds, and preserved white fruits. The palate carries less of the usual opulent weight found in warmer years, instead trading it for a sleek, silky texture that beautifully frames a core of stewed apple, lemon tart, and a distinct mineral edge. Driven by the vintage's characteristically bright, high acidity, the wine delivers a striking freshness and a long, lightly structured, toasty finish. While its signature Perrières mineralité and sharp tension feel a bit stern and closed in its youth, a few years of bottle age will allow its subtle depth and consummate elegance to fully unlock. About Winery Maison Joseph Drouhin was founded in 1880 in Beaune, Burgundy, by Joseph Drouhin, and has since grown into one of the region’s most respected wine producers. Joseph Drouhin 2020 Joseph Drouhin Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrieres" Blanc
Winemaker Notes The 2020 Joseph Drouhin Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrières" Blanc is an exceptional expression of a warm, solar Burgundy vintage, showing off a bright, pale golden-yellow hue in the glass. The nose is remarkably expressive from the start, offering a classic "Genevrières" bouquet of ripe yellow orchard fruits, acacia blossoms, and orange peel, woven together with subtle hints of toasted brioche and vanilla bean. On the palate, the wine delivers the round, voluptuous texture characteristic of 2020, coating the mouth with layers of juicy peach, lemon curd, and a distinct, underlying hazelnut richness. Despite the heat of the growing season, a brilliant vein of citrusy acidity cuts through the opulence, maintaining immaculate balance and driving the wine into a long, mineral-flecked finish that lingers with a sophisticated touch of spice. This is a beautifully layered white Burgundy that is approachable now due to its generous fruit profile, but possesses the structure to evolve beautifully over the next decade. Domaine Faiveley 2018 Joseph Faiveley Meursault Blanc Cotes de Beaune
Winemaker Notes A brilliant pale yellow color. The attractive aromas of white and yellow fruits mix with light woody notes. On the palate, this wine meets up to the expectations of its aromas: it has a round and full attack before the vanillary and toasty tastes reveal themselves. Good long-lasting aromas. The finish is slightly acidic. About Winery Domaine Faiveley is one of the largest and most illustrious domaines in Burgundy, and has made its name with red wines made from the Pinot Noir grape. It was founded in 1825 in the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges under Joseph Faiveley, a wine merchant who had a desire for travel. In the beginning of the 19th Century, trade had begun between Burgundy and northern Europe, predominantly along the rivers and canals connecting the regions. Merchants from Burgundy would travel along these paths to exchange their wines for textiles. Joseph Faiveley was one of these merchants, introducing his Burgundian wine to the wider world. Today, the house is run by seventh-generation Eve and Erwan Faiveley (wine-searcher.com interviewed Eve Faiveley in 2021), and the company has expanded its footprint in the Côte de Beaune, and has vineyards throughout the Côte de Nuits, as well as in the Côte Chalonnaise (Domaine de la Framboisière) and Chablis. Domaine Faiveley is best known for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines, but small amounts of Aligoté are also planted in the Côte Chalonnaise. Currently, Faiveley has 10 hectares (25 acres) of grand cru vineyards out of a total of 115 hectares (285 acres).

Joseph Drouhin 2022 Joseph Drouhin Gevrey Chambertin Cote De Nuits Villages
Winemaker Notes Gevrey-Chambertin is a wine with a beautiful, bright ruby color. Intensely fruity on the nose, the aromas are reminiscent of black cherry, wild blackberry and licorice. The woody character is subtle and marries delicately with the other aromas. As the wine evolves, there are more complex notes, such as mild spice, nutmeg and leather. Later still, mushroom and damp earth nuances make their appearance. Although present on the palate, tannin is never astringent but blends itself harmoniously with the natural freshness and "gras" (velvety texture) of the wine. The same aromas encountered earlier on the nose are found again in the aftertaste. About Winery Maison Joseph Drouhin was founded in 1880 in Beaune, Burgundy, by Joseph Drouhin, and has since grown into one of the region’s most respected wine producers. On the palate, the warm and concentrated 2020 vintage delivers rich, succulent red-and-black fruit framed by a solid backbone of chalky minerality, well-integrated oak, and fine yet firm, grippy tannins.
