About Winery
Domaine Lamy-Caillat was established in 2011, when Florence Lamy (daughter of René Lamy of Domaine Lamy-Pillot) and her husband Sébastien Caillat took over vineyards from an elderly neighbor in Chassagne-Montrachet. Starting with just 1.2 hectares of premier cru parcels, they envisioned a micro-domaine dedicated to artisanal winemaking, distinct from the larger-scale production of Lamy-Pillot. Sébastien, who had long been passionate about viticulture, brought meticulous attention to every stage of production—from vineyard care to bottling—emphasizing minimal intervention and precision. The domaine quickly gained recognition for its pure, terroir-expressive wines, crafted in tiny quantities. Today, Lamy-Caillat remains a “secret garden” of Burgundy, admired by collectors and connoisseurs for its uncompromising quality and authentic reflection of Chassagne-Montrachet’s limestone-rich soils.
