Winemaker Notes
A bright and complex bouquet of cherries, beetroot, plums, and dark soil tones, accented by cedar and a smoky top note. On the palate, it is characterized as pure, full-bodied, and "sappy at the core," with fine-grained tannins, excellent focus, and an energetic finish.
About Winery
Founded around 1880 by Jacques Lignier in Morey-Saint-Denis, Domaine Hubert Lignier is a prestigious five-generation Burgundy estate. Hubert Lignier expanded the estate in the 1960s, gaining fame for structured Pinot Noir. After the tragic 2004 passing of winemaker son Romain, Laurent Lignier took over, transitioning the 9-hectare estate to organic/biodynamic practices.
