About Winery
Domaine Prince Florent de Mérode is a historic Burgundy estate, rooted in Aloxe-Corton and Ladoix-Serrigny, with family ownership dating back to the early 1700s. The domaine, centered around the Château de Serrigny, cultivated about 12 hectares of vineyards, including prestigious Corton Grand Cru parcels. After Prince Florent and his wife (from the Lur-Saluces family of Château d’Yquem) passed away in 2008, much of the vineyard land was sold, while six hectares of Corton were leased to Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, beginning with the 2009 vintage. Despite these transitions, the wines of Prince de Mérode have long been praised for their richness, individuality, and stylistic concentration, making the estate an important contributor to Burgundy’s Corton legacy.
