Winemaker Notes
"The champagne is composed of 50% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, and 30% Chardonnay. The predominance of Pinot Noir provides structure, while Meunier rounds out the blend and Chardonnay adds elegance and finesse. Up to 45% of the blend consists of reserve wines, which are aged up to 30 years. This ensures consistency and quality across vintages
About Winery
Veuve Clicquot, now one of the largest Champagne Houses, was founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot under the label "Clicquot". After establishing the brand throughout Europe, Russia and the United States, Philippe was joined by his son, François Clicquot, at the head of the House in 1798. Seven years later, following his untimely death, François’ young widow, Barbe Ponsardin, took over the family business at just 27 years old. The House would subsequently be renamed in her honor: ‘Veuve Clicquot’ means ‘The Widow Clicquot.’

Krug Champagne is one of the most prestigious Champagne houses in the world, known for its commitment to quality and tradition. Krug was founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, a visionary who believed in creating the best Champagne every year, regardless of climate variations. He established the house in Reims, the heart of the Champagne region. Joseph Krug’s philosophy was to focus on the individuality of each plot and its wine, creating a library of reserve wines from different years to ensure consistency and excellence. Krug is credited with pioneering the concept of non-vintage Champagne, blending wines from multiple years to achieve a consistent and complex flavor profile.
About Winery
Champagne Cordon Bleu from Maison DE VENOGE is dominated by Pinot Noir (50%), which brings roundness and vinosity. Then, 25% of Pinot Meunier and 25% of Chardonnay complete the blend. To the eye, its golden hue is marvelous. Then, a great aromatic complexity brings green apple, lemon and honey notes. Following 3 years of cellar aging, champagne Cordon Bleu is well-balanced, round, complex and subtle.
This cuvée is of an exceptional versatility, and has a great aging potential. It is perfect for the aperitif. This champagne is real bargain.
Winemaker Notes
"The color is an elegant golden straw yellow with amber highlights. Its aromas are radiant, revealing bright yellow-fleshed fruits (apple, pear, yellow peach), honey, floral nuances (lime blossom) and elegant blond notes (brioche and fresh nuts). The palate is seductive, richly flavorful and smooth combining generosity and subtlety, fullness and vigor, followed by a delicately fresh crispiness (fruit with seeds), to reveal the magical balance of Champagne."
About Winery
Moët & Chandon, based in the so-called "Champagne capital" of Épernay, is easily the most famous house in the Champagne region. It is one of the largest too, comprising 1150 hectares (2850 acres) of estate vineyards plus more from growers, 28km (17 miles) of cellars and a production capacity of 60 million bottles a year.
The house was founded by Claude Moët in 1743. However, his grandson, Jean-Remy Moët, is credited with having brought Champagne to a wider audience and, by the 19th Century, the house was recognized both domestically and internationally.
In the 1970s and '80s, Moët & Chandon expanded its empire beyond Champagne, partnering first with Cognac house Hennessy and then with fashion giant Louis Vuitton, forming the well-known luxury conglomerate Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy –often referred to simply as LVMH.
Today, the group owns several other famous wine brands, including Krug and Veuve Clicquot in Champagne, Château Cheval Blanc in Bordeaux, and Cloudy Bay in New Zealand and Cape Mentelle in Western Australia.
Moët's house style is fresh and fruit-forward, and the non-vintage Brut is dominated by Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, with a smaller amount of Chardonnay. Grapes are drawn from 800 different parcels from 230 of the villages in Champagne.
This wide range of terroirs to draw from means that blenders have more control over the finished wine, and despite the massive output every year, Moët's wines are remarkably consistent. The majority of processes in the winery are controlled by machine – unsurprising given the scale of production.
Moët & Chandon's range is straightforward, comprising of non vintage brut, rosé and demi sec, as well as vintage brut and rosé offerings. Their prestige cuvée is the iconic Dom Pérignon, although over time this has come to be seen as a separate entity, in much the same spirit as Napa Valley icon Opus One.
The house has expanded far outside of Champagne, and is currently making sparkling wines in California, Argentina, Brazil and Australia under the Chandon label. Most recently, Moët & Chandon has acquired vineyards in India and China, where they are also finding new markets.

The 2022 Château Sénéjac showcases a well-balanced and vibrant character, with notes of ripe fruit, floral undertones, and subtle spice. It features a medium to full-bodied palate, offering a velvety texture and a long, persistent finish. The wine's profile is described as having a "juicy/tangy frame, great energy, harmony and delicacy in the texture," with hints of wild strawberry, pulpy cassis, and crushed red berries.
About Winery
Château Sénéjac, located in the Haut-Médoc region of Bordeaux, France, has a history dating back to the 16th century. While the property has been around for centuries, the vineyards were not established until the 18th century. The estate was owned by the de Guigné family from 1860 until 1999, when it was acquired by Lorraine Cordier, also owner of Château Talbot. Under Cordier's ownership, the vineyards were modernized and the estate produced high-end wines, including the Château Sénéjac Karolus. Today, Sénéjac is managed by the Cordier family.

Winemaker Notes
The Connétable de Talbot 2022 is a second wine from Château Talbot, a Saint-Julien Cru Classé. It is known for its rich and concentrated fruit, blackcurrant and bramble notes, and fine, sleek tannins. The 2022 vintage is described as having a supple and harmonious palate with well-integrated tannins and a long finish.
About Winery
Château Talbot Connétable de Talbot, the second wine of the famed Château Talbot, tells a story of rigorous selection and meticulous vineyard management, all while offering a more accessible price point than the estate's flagship wine. The narrative centers around the estate's renowned terroir in St. Julien, Bordeaux, and its history, tracing back to the Battle of Castillon and the Cordier family's legacy.
Winemaker Notes
The 2022 Lynch-Bages was picked 12 September, around 15 days earlier than usual until 24 September at around 35hL/ha. Aged for 18 months in 75% new oak, it has a backward nose that demands a lot of encouragement. This is not as immediate as the 2016 or 2019 at the same stage. Powerful blackberry and boysenberry fruit, cedar and light tobacco notes, this feels like an edifice of aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins, beautifully balanced, very harmonious yet there is an enormous backbone here that (again) is reminiscent of Mouton. Extremely long on the finish, this will need its barrel maturation to fully knit together and it is going to be a Pauillac for the long haul.
About Winery
1855 Grand Cru Classe – 5th Growth The chateau was founded in the 18th century by the Liberal family. Most of the wines produced here were exported to the Netherlands and Belgium. Half of the wines of the chateau are planted just next to the First Growth Chateau Latour.
Overlooking the Gironde estuary at the entrance to Pauillac, the vines of Lynch-Bages are located on the Bages plateau, on one of the finest gravelly rises in the appellation. The estate once belonged to the famous Lynch family, of Irish origin, and was acquired by Jean-Charles Cazes in 1934. His grandson, Jean-Michel Cazes restructured the estate in 1974, adding state-of-the-art winemaking equipment, while keeping the former wooden vats as a reminder of the 19th century. The grapes are all hand picked and then carefully sorted before crushing. A very strict selection is made prior to blending and the wine is traditionally aged in oak barrels before bottling.
Today, the winery is managed by Claire Villars Lurton. Under her management the estate has undergone complete renovation to organic and biodynamic vineyard management. The grounds of the chateau were fully renovated in 2018.
Winemaker Notes
A relatively cool winter preceded a month of February in which temperatures exceeded seasonal norms. Rapid flowering took place in May, helped by summer weather conditions. There was some rain in June, including two stormy spells. July and August were marked by scorching weather. Water stress was avoided thanks to the clay soil and the adaptation of the winegrowers.
