About Winery
The story of Domaine Ramonet began in the 1920s, when Pierre Ramonet (1906–1994) established the estate in Chassagne-Montrachet, quickly gaining a reputation for producing some of Burgundy’s most distinctive white wines. Pierre’s dedication to terroir and his unique personality made him a legendary figure in the region. After his passing, the domaine was carried forward by his grandsons Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet, with Jean-Claude now firmly at the helm. Today, the next generation—including Noël’s sons Michaël and Pierre-François, and Jean-Claude’s daughter Anne-France—are actively involved, ensuring continuity of the family’s vision. The domaine’s holdings include prestigious parcels such as Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, alongside numerous premier crus in Chassagne-Montrachet. Known for wines that often start shy but blossom with time in the glass, Domaine Ramonet remains a benchmark for age-worthy, terroir-driven Chardonnay, admired by collectors and critics worldwide.
