About Winery
The Lamarche family has cultivated vines in Vosne-Romanée since the 1800s, gradually assembling parcels in some of Burgundy’s most prestigious terroirs. Henri Lamarche, who took over in the early 20th century, firmly established the domaine’s identity, and in 1933 the family acquired La Grande Rue, a Grand Cru vineyard that remains their monopole and signature wine. For decades, the estate was managed by Henri’s descendants, including François Lamarche, who oversaw modernization and estate bottling. In 2006, Nicole Lamarche, representing the sixth generation, assumed leadership, bringing fresh energy and a focus on organic viticulture while maintaining the domaine’s traditional style. Today, Domaine Lamarche spans about 11 hectares across Vosne-Romanée, Clos de Vougeot, Échezeaux, and Grands Échezeaux, but it is most celebrated for La Grande Rue, a jewel of Burgundy that embodies the family’s deep heritage and commitment to terroir expression.
