About Winery
Château Duhart-Milon is a prestigious Bordeaux wine estate located in the Pauillac appellation of the Médoc region, on the Left Bank of the Gironde estuary. The estate is named after “Sieur Duhart,” a privateer under Louis XV who retired in Pauillac. His house inspired the château’s wine label.
In the 18th century, the land was used to produce wine for Château Lafite Rothschild, serving as its second wine. The Castéja family acquired the land in the 1830s and officially established the Château Duhart-Milon vineyard, which was classified as a Fourth Growth (Quatrième Cru Classé) in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification—the only one in Pauillac with that rank.
