An emblematic figure in the Rhône Valley who was at the helm of the Perrin family estates until 1978 and the iconic Château de Beaucastel, Jacques Perrin has established himself as a free-spirited and visionary figure in the wine world. A pioneer, he initiated organic farming in the 1960s and biodynamic farming in 1974. He also decided to bring back the cultivation of Mourvèdre, the emblematic Rhône Valley grape variety.
