About Winery
Domaine Boris Champy in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune traces its roots back to 1984, when Didier Montchovet founded the estate as Burgundy’s first Demeter-certified biodynamic domaine. Starting with just 0.5 hectares in Nantoux, Montchovet pioneered organic and biodynamic viticulture long before it became mainstream. In 2019, Boris Champy—an experienced winemaker with a background at prestigious estates—took over, bringing fresh energy and a vision to elevate the still underappreciated Hautes-Côtes region. Today, the domaine spans about 12 hectares across both the Hautes-Côtes and Côte de Beaune, producing terroir-driven wines that highlight altitude, microclimates, and sustainability, continuing its legacy as a leader in eco-friendly Burgundy winemaking.
