About Winery
The history of Domaine Georges Roumier began in 1924, when Georges Roumier married Geneviève Quanquin, inheriting vineyards in Chambolle-Musigny that formed the core of the estate. Georges quickly established a reputation for meticulous craftsmanship, and in 1945 he pioneered estate bottling, elevating the domaine’s prestige. After Georges’s passing in 1965, his son Jean-Marie Roumier continued the legacy until 1992, when the reins passed to Christophe Roumier, who has since become one of Burgundy’s most respected winemakers. Today, the domaine cultivates parcels across Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis, and Bonnes Mares, with holdings in grand crus such as Bonnes Mares and Musigny, producing wines celebrated for their purity, elegance, and longevity. Domaine Roumier is now regarded as a benchmark for Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir, consistently commanding global acclaim and collector demand.
