About Winery
Domaine Blain-Gagnard was founded in 1980 through the marriage of Jean-Marc Blain, originally from Sancerre, and Claudine Gagnard, daughter of Jacques Gagnard of Chassagne-Montrachet. Rooted in Burgundy’s winemaking heritage dating back to 1683, the estate combines the traditions of the Gagnard family with Jean-Marc’s oenological training. Today, the domaine cultivates about 8 hectares across Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Volnay, and Pommard, producing both reds and whites, with a strong emphasis on Chassagne-Montrachet. Known for its elegant whites and structured reds, Blain-Gagnard has established itself as a respected producer of Côte de Beaune wines, including several premier and grand crus such as Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet and Le Montrachet.
