The 2018 Domaine de la Vougeraie Vougeot 1er Cru Les Cras marks a significant return for this cuvée, as it was the first vintage released after the vineyard was replanted in 2013. Sourced from a 1.43-hectare biodynamic plot characterized by calcareous, stony soil, this Pinot Noir offers a "Vosne-like" aromatic profile with a bouquet of cherries, strawberries, rose petals, and potpourri.
About Winery
Founded in 1998, Domaine de la Vougeraie in Premeaux-Prissey is a modern Burgundy estate created by merging several Jean-Claude Boisset holdings, including Claudine Deschamps, Pierre Ponnelle, Louis Voilland, and L'Heritier-Guyot. Known for certified organic and biodynamic farming, it manages 37 hectares with seven Grand Crus. Their Chambolle-Musigny wines are produced from diverse plots, including Les Baudes and Argillières, noted for elegance and a mixture of village and premier cru grapes.
