About Winery
Philippe Pacalet, born into a Burgundian winemaking family with roots dating back to 1780, is renowned for his pioneering role in natural winemaking. After studying oenology and specializing in natural yeasts, he was mentored by Jules Chauvet, a founding figure of natural oenology, and influenced by his uncle Marcel Lapierre, a celebrated Beaujolais winemaker. Pacalet worked for a decade at a distinguished Côte de Nuits estate before launching his own label in 2001. His philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention, organic viticulture, and transparency of terroir, making him one of Burgundy’s leading voices in artisanal, terroir-driven wines.
