Winemaker Notes
The 2017 Benjamin Leroux Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru (often labeled as Mazoyères) is a medium-bodied red with a tightly wound bouquet of dark black fruits, briar, violet, and incense. Known for its supple tannins and great volume, the palate features layers of truffle-tinged fruit and a lingering white pepper finish.
About Winery
Benjamin Leroux established his own domaine in 2007 in Beaune, Burgundy, after serving for 15 years as the manager of Domaine des Epeneaux (Comte Armand). Leroux is known for a, precise, low-intervention approach to winemaking and producing a highly-regarded, silky Vosne-Romanée from purchased grapes, featuring notes of red fruit and spice.
