Winemaker Notes

The 2016 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir is a remarkably pure and floral expression of this "valley" climat, which benefited from a later-than-average harvest to overcome the year's early frost challenges. According to the producer, the wine offers fresh, refined aromas of flowers and fruit, distinguished on the palate by a "particular subtlety" and a delicious blend of softness and liveliness.

About Winery

Founded in 1957 by William Fèvre, a prominent figure in the region, the domaine began with 7 hectares and grew into one of Chablis's largest and most prestigious, now boasting ~78 hectares. Known for advocating for authentic, traditional Chablis, the estate was sold to Champagne Henriot in 1998, with the aim of reducing new oak to emphasize mineral, terroir-driven styles. The estate is highly regarded for its Premier Cru Beauroy, which features old vines, and has been under the leadership of Didier Séguier since 1998.
