About Winery
Domaine Bouard-Bonnefoy is a small, family-run estate in Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy, managed today by Fabrice Bouard and his wife Carine Bonnefoy, who took over from Carine’s father in 2006. Originally, Henri Bonnefoy sold his wines in bulk, but Fabrice and Carine shifted the focus to estate bottling, emphasizing artisanal methods and terroir expression. The domaine cultivates about 5 hectares of vineyards across Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, and Puligny-Montrachet, producing elegant white wines that highlight the Côte de Beaune’s classic character. Their daughter Clara joined the domaine in 2017, marking the fourth generation of family involvement. Known for traditional practices such as hand-harvesting, lutte raisonnée (sustainable viticulture), and careful barrel aging, Domaine Bouard-Bonnefoy has built a reputation for authentic, naturally made wines that capture the purity and depth of Burgundy’s premier terroirs.
