Winemaker Notes
The 2013 Famille Carabello-Baum Nuits-Saint-Georges is a Pinot Noir reflecting a challenging, cool, and wet Burgundian vintage, resulting in a wine with high acidity, focused red fruit, and structure. Expect a classic, savory style with notes of redcurrant and black cherry, likely featuring soft tannins from meticulous, low-intervention winemaking.
About Winery
In 2014, Silicon Valley entrepreneur Michael Baum and his family (Famille Carabello-Baum) purchased the historic Château de Pommard in Burgundy, France, becoming the first Americans to own a winery in the region. They became the fifth family in 300 years to steward the estate, focusing on converting the 20-hectare Clos Marey-Monge vineyard to biodynamic farming and elevating their wines.
