About Winery
Au Pied du Mont Chauve is a modern Burgundy estate founded in the late 2000s by Francine Picard, whose family has long roots in Côte de Beaune viticulture. Drawing on holdings in Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, and Corton, the domaine was created to highlight terroir-driven, biodynamic wines under a new identity, with its name referencing the “bald mountain” of Montrachet. Among its prestigious climats, the Corton Grand Cru Clos des Fietres stands out as a flagship red, crafted from Pinot Noir with a style that balances structure, elegance, and aromatic finesse. Despite its relatively recent founding, Au Pied du Mont Chauve has quickly earned recognition for producing “Haute Couture” wines that combine family heritage with contemporary innovation.
