Domaine Ponsot, founded in 1872 in Morey-Saint-Denis, Burgundy, is a family-run estate celebrated for its pioneering role in estate bottling and its dedication to terroir-driven wines. William Ponsot established the domaine with parcels like Clos des Monts-Luisants and Clos de la Roche, and in 1932 his nephew Hippolyte became one of the first in Burgundy to bottle the entire harvest at the estate. The domaine has remained in family hands through successive generations, producing iconic Grand Crus such as Clos de la Roche Vieilles Vignes and Clos St. Denis Très Vieilles Vignes, as well as the rare Clos des Monts-Luisants Premier Cru Aligoté. Today, under the leadership of Rose-Marie Ponsot and winemaker Alexandre Abel, Domaine Ponsot continues to uphold its reputation for authenticity, organic viticulture, and traditional craftsmanship.
