Winemaker Notes
The 2010 Vincent Girardin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chaumées is a refined Chardonnay crafted from 50-year-old vines grown on the rocky, clay-limestone soils of a vineyard bordering Saint-Aubin. This vintage is characterized by a "buttery taste" balanced with refreshing fruity-floral tones, featuring a complex bouquet of peach, apricot, and white flowers.
About Winery
Founded in 1980 by 19-year-old Vincent Girardin, the son of a long-standing Santenay winemaking family, the winery quickly established itself in Meursault with high-quality Côte de Beaune wines. Known for adopting biodynamic practices and working with winemaker Eric Germain in the 2000s, it focused on pure, elegant, and low-intervention wines before being sold in 2012.
