Domaine Bonnefond is a family-run estate in Côte-Rôtie, Northern Rhône, founded in 1955 with just one hectare of vines and later expanded significantly under Charles Bonnefond in the 1980s. Initially, the family sold grapes to négociants, but by 1990 brothers Patrick and Christophe Bonnefond took over and began bottling their own wines, establishing the domaine’s reputation for concentrated, terroir-driven Syrah. Over the years, they expanded holdings to around 10 hectares across prestigious Côte-Rôtie parcels such as Rozier, Les Rochains, and Semons, as well as Condrieu for Viognier. Today, Domaine Bonnefond is recognized internationally for producing powerful yet increasingly refined wines that reflect the character of the Côte Brune and Côte Blonde slopes of the Rhône Valley.
