Winemaker Notes

It features a dark ruby/purple hue and a medium-bodied profile with outstanding ripeness and substantial tannin. Tasting notes highlight expressive aromas of earth, oak spice, and damp leaves, which complement rounded flavors that have gradually emerged from their "tannic shell."

About Winery

Domaine Ghislaine Barthod, a prestigious Burgundy producer in Chambolle-Musigny, was founded in the late 1920s as Barthod-Noëllat. Following Gaston Barthod’s takeover in the 1950s, his daughter Ghislaine assumed control in 1999. Known for elegant, age-worthy Pinot Noirs, the estate manages roughly 6-7 hectares of vineyards with 11 different Premier Cru bottlings.
