2016 | WS 95 This asserts itself through flattery right from the start, with a gush of warmed cassis, açaí berry reduction and plum preserves laced liberally with mocha-accented toast and carried by very plush structure. This is weighty and brimming with fruit, while the toast takes a lengthy encore on the finish. A hedonist's dream.  2019 | WS 94 Flashy, with boysenberry and mulberry pâte de fruit notes that roll through, throwing off licorice snap and acai berry notes as well. Has that rare quality of elegance, in which all the parts work together in harmony. Thoroughly dry, it's marked by a firm, astringent tannic structure now, but is a certain cel lar candidate. 2022 | WS 91 A creamy, forward style, with a core of warmed raspberry and boysenberry preserves infused liberally with mocha and melted licorice. Shows a late flicker of chaparral.
