DAOU Mountain's terroir is defined by its unique combination of calcareous clay soils, high elevation, steep slopes, and a Mediterranean climate influenced by the Pacific Ocean. This terroir, particularly the calcareous clay soil similar to that found in Bordeaux, contributes to wines with intense flavors, aromas, deep colors, and a distinct minerality. The combination of warm days and cool nights, along with gentle breezes, ensures even ripening and balanced vines.
