About Us
The Durand corkscrew is a two-part wine opener specifically designed for extracting fragile, old corks from wine bottles, ensuring they come out whole and intact. It's a patented device invented by wine collector Mark Taylor to address the challenges of opening older vintages where corks are prone to crumbling or breaking. The Durand combines a traditional screw with two blades, resembling an Ah-So, to provide leverage and prevent cork disintegration.
